Enjoy Summer Harvests

This is my big herb pot with just a few selected herbs that I love and enjoy.
I've been snipping at all these wonderful herbs all summer long
and using it for salads and cooking.

Italian Basil and Cilantro ~ both are a must for Italian
                             and Asian Cooking
Freshly-picked Arugula
For me, salad taste good but Arugula makes it FABULOUS !
It's taste nutty, slightly spicy and has an interesting flavor.
Arugula is very low in calories and is a good source of vitamins A and C, folatecalcium, and magnesium. It can be eaten raw, added to salads with other salad greens, or cooked. It is excellent sautéed lightly in olive oil or steamed and added to pasta dishes.Arugula can also be made into pesto and served with pasta or potatoes or as an accompaniment to roasted or grilled meats.

My idea of a great salad ~ Arugula, Romain Lettuce,
Red Onions and Cherry Tomatoes ~extra, extra special
when you grew them.

Top with some roasted pine nuts and drizzle with some
Extra Virgin Olive Oil & some good quality Balsamic Vinegar. Hmm....
Simple is good - Nothing like a freshly made salad.
